Wood’s SW42FX SILENT is equipped with a control unit that ensures that the cooling fins are defrosted if necessary. The control unit turns off the compressor, which stops cooling of the loops. The fan continues to drag the room-tempered air through the dehumidifier, thus melting the ice and the water flowing into the container. This defrosting system allows the dehumidifier to operate at as low a temperature as + 2 ° C. At lower temperatures, the dehumidifier automatically switches off and restarts when the temperature has been above 2 ° C for more than 5 minutes.
